Guarantee

A Press Start guarantees 3-year warranty for New and Used products, which have a manufacturing defect or in case of breakdown, except cases:

Absence of valid purchase proof;
Clear damages of negligence and misuse of the product;
Change or violation of the normal status of the product;
Absence of original packaging;
‣ In the case of guarantees of certain licensed products, these must be activated with the manufacturers themselves (Ex: Consolas and Official Commands Nintendo, Official Commands Playstation, etc.) – In these cases we will give technical support to open complaint, being the follow-up of the complaint and warranty process outside the responsibility of Press Start.

If the product purchased is defective or malfunctioned, the Customer shall communicate the situation through the Contact Form or email to support@pressstart. pt informing the order reference and the description of malfunction. Costs charged with returning or collecting articles within the warranty period shall be borne by Press Start, if the right to guarantee is subsequently proved and the failure to comply with the abovementioned cases is not observed.

You should only send the products to our facility after we confirm all the details.

After receipt of the article at the premises of Press Start a first technical evaluation will be made and, in the event of any conformity failure, the warranty process will be activated. In this case Press Start will resolve the most appropriate procedure with the customer: exchange or repair. The new shipment will not have any associated cost.

Return and Refunds

After purchasing a product in PressStart.pt, the customer has a legal period of 14 days to return, from the receipt of the order - for purchases made during the Christmas period, this deadline extends until January 15 of the following year (see point 7.2 of the Terms and Conditions).

The return process is simple and consists of three main steps:

The customer must access the section History and Details of Order in your customer account and see the details of the order in question. In the list of articles, the customer must select the article(s) that you want to return, write the reason and all information relevant to the process by sending through the "Request Return" button.

We will receive your request for evaluation. If the order and the items fall within the return parameters, you will receive a confirmation email to access the return form with all the following steps, which must be consulted in "Order Returns" in your client account, so you can send it.

As soon as we receive your return, we will evaluate and exchange or refund if it is found that the return fulfils all the conditions listed below. This process is automatic, and we will contact, if necessary, for the email associated with the customer account to confirm the exchange or method of refund.

Product returns must comply with the following conditions:

  • Valid proof presentation of purchase of the product;
  • The product must be delivered under the same conditions in which it was sold - no risk, no external damage or signs of use and in perfect operating conditions, conditioned on its original packaging and accompanied by the manual of use and all its accessories.
  • If the product has been used and/or opened, the right to return is without effect, only applicable for warranty activations;
  • CDs, DVDs and Games must be delivered in sealed original cellophane.

If the packaging is damaged, open or the articles present obvious marks of use Press Start reserves the right to reject the return of the product.

The shipping values of the return and new shipment (in the case of exchanges or rejected articles) will be the responsibility of the customer, and Press Start will only assume all shipping costs if the order reference sent by us has any inconsistency (exchanged articles or lack of articles) or if the product presents defect that prevents its use.

The refund amount for return or exchange (no direct responsibility for Press Start) shall only apply to the value of the item(s) in question, and any extra fee applied to the shipping costs are not included in the refund.

All products inserted in Digital Categories do not fall within the Return, Guarantee and Refund policies, and there is thus no possibility to return, exchange or complain about the product.
