It is important to read and understand these Terms and Conditions, as by using and purchasing through our website, you are accepting and agreeing to them.

These Terms and Conditions reflect the business operations of Your Store LDA, headquartered at Rua da Zona Industrial No 545, 4525-540 Vila Maior, Portugal, with NIF no. 513465677, hereinafter referred to as Press Start. They also reflect the applicable laws governing our company and certain principles we uphold.

These Terms of Use define the relationship between Press Start and you when you interact with our store. Any changes or updates to these Terms and Conditions will take effect as soon as they are published in the relevant section of the website.

Users are advised to check this section regularly to stay informed of the most up-to-date version. The following topics are included:


1. Delivery and Shipping

1.1 – Orders for items marked as immediately available and placed before the cut-off time specified in the delivery terms will be dispatched on the same day, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances or logistical issues.

1.2 – Hand delivery or in-person scheduling is not available. All orders must be placed online, and all shipments will be handled by carriers.

1.3 – For Portugal, Press Start provides the following shipping methods:

  • Standard Shipping: Carrier chosen based on order type. Fixed cost of €3 for orders under €30. Free shipping for orders equal to or above €30. Available for mainland Portugal and islands.

  • CTT: Logistics fee of €2. Fixed cost of €3 for orders under €30 (total cost €5). Orders equal to or above €30 include a €2 fee. Available for mainland Portugal and islands.

  • CTT Pick-Up: Choose a CTT Point. Fixed €3 for orders under €30. Available for mainland Portugal and islands.

  • DPD: Logistics fee of €2. Fixed cost of €3 for orders under €30 (total cost €5). Orders equal to or above €30 include a €2 fee. Available for mainland Portugal.

1.4 – For regions outside Portugal, available carriers and rates may vary by country and will be displayed at checkout.

1.5 – Press Start provides shipment tracking via email or through the customer account. Any failures or issues in the tracking system are the responsibility of the carrier and not of Press Start.

1.6 – For large-volume items, special transport may be required. In such cases, shipping methods and delivery times may change. Customers will be notified, but no additional fees will be charged.


2. Delivery Times

Continental Portugal – If payment is confirmed before the specified cut-off time, the order is dispatched the same day, with expected delivery the following business day. Delivery may take 1–2 business days after dispatch, depending on carrier capacity. Complaints may only be made after 4 business days from shipment confirmation.

Islands – Estimated delivery is 4–6 business days after dispatch. Complaints may only be made after 10 business days from shipment confirmation.

2.1 – Delivery times are based on carrier estimates. Press Start does not perform deliveries directly.
2.2 – Delays beyond estimated dates do not entitle the customer to compensation. Each case must be reviewed individually.
2.3 – Press Start ships to the countries listed in the customer registration options. Availability of shipping methods and estimated times will be displayed at checkout.
2.4 – Press Start reserves the right to cancel or reject orders outside Portugal if shipping conditions are not feasible. Customers will be notified and refunded within 14 days.


3. Orders

3.1 – To place an order, customers must register on the website. Products can then be added to the shopping cart and purchased through a simple and intuitive checkout process.
3.2 – Validation of an order implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3.3 – If a product is temporarily unavailable, Press Start will contact the customer to provide a solution.
3.4 – If a product is permanently out of stock, the customer will be refunded or offered an equivalent product of similar quality and price (only with customer approval).
3.5 – Refunds may be issued as store credit or directly to the original payment method, within 14 days.


4. Pre-Orders

4.1 – Pre-order dates are subject to change by suppliers. Dates provided are estimates only.
4.2 – Press Start is not responsible for distribution delays by suppliers.
4.3 – If a pre-order date is postponed, the customer may request cancellation and a refund.
4.4 – Press Start aims to deliver pre-orders by the official release date, but this may not always be possible due to supplier restrictions.
4.5 – Pre-orders require advance payment. “Cash on Delivery” is not available for pre-orders.

5. Payment Methods

5.1 – General conditions and payment methods are available in the Payment Security section.

5.2 – For Portugal, the following payment methods are accepted:

  • PayPal and Credit Card: Linked to the PayPal platform.

  • ATM: Payment via ATM or homebanking using the reference provided at checkout.

  • MB Way: Payment via the MB Way app on a smartphone.

  • Bank Transfer: Payment must be made to the provided IBAN (requires manual confirmation).

  • Cash on Delivery: Payment upon delivery, subject to a €2 fee.

5.3 – For international orders, available payment methods will be displayed at checkout. PayPal and Bank Transfer are the most common.

Press Start reserves the right to reject “Cash on Delivery” orders from customers with a history of cancellations or failed deliveries.


6. Orders with Multiple Items and Bulk Orders

6.1 – In the case of orders containing items with different availability dates, Press Start will evaluate stock and availability before arranging shipment.

6.2 – If item availability exceeds 5 business days, Press Start will ship immediately available items as soon as possible, except in the following cases:

  • 6.2.1 – If the value of the immediately available item(s) does not meet the free-shipping minimum for the destination, Press Start reserves the right to either:

    • ship all items together once available, or

    • if the customer requests immediate shipment, charge the applicable shipping fee for the items not covered by the free-shipping policy.

  • 6.2.2 – If item availability is less than 5 business days, Press Start reserves the right to ship the entire order in a single shipment, waiting for the remaining items to become available.

6.3 – In orders that combine items with immediate availability and pre-order items (or multiple pre-orders with similar release dates), the customer must note that all dates are estimates and may change. These changes may affect the shipping schedule for the entire order. Customers are advised to place separate orders for items with different availability. Press Start will always attempt to find and propose a solution that best suits the customer’s interests.

6.4 – If an item has already been shipped in advance and does not qualify for the free-shipping policy—while the customer originally benefited from free shipping based on the total order value—shipping costs (€3.00) will be deducted from the refund if the customer later requests cancellation of the pre-order item.

6.5 – Orders of bulk items may be considered as such if they include three (3) or more units of the same product reference, whether in a single order, in multiple orders through the same customer account, or with the same delivery/billing details. Such orders may be treated as resale, scalping, or speculative activity. In these cases:

  • 6.5.1 – Press Start reserves the right to reject bulk orders in order to prevent fraudulent practices, price manipulation, or stock hoarding.

  • 6.5.2 – Press Start reserves the right to request immediate payment (within 24 hours) for bulk orders, to prevent speculation and inventory blocking.

  • 6.5.3 – Press Start reserves the right to refuse returns, cancellations, or refunds for bulk orders, as they will be considered resale and will affect inventory and accounting management.

  • 6.5.4 – The loyalty points program applies only to private customers. In cases of bulk orders, loyalty points may be removed, as such orders are considered reseller activity.


7. Returns, Exchanges and Cancellations

7.1 – General terms are available under Warranty and Returns.
7.2 – Customers have 14 days to request a return or exchange, in accordance with EU law. Products carry a 3-year warranty (2 years for used items).
7.3 – Returns are subject to conditions:

  • Products must be unopened and in original packaging.

  • Visible packaging defects are not valid grounds for return unless the product itself is damaged.

  • Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is defective, damaged during delivery, or incorrect.
    7.4 – Refunds will be processed within 14 days of confirmation, either via store credit or the original payment method.
    7.5 – Press Start reserves the right to reject returns of bulk orders.


8. Prices and Products

8.1 – Prices include applicable taxes, fees, and discounts, as shown on the product page.
8.2 – In the event of technical or typographical errors that result in unrealistic prices, Press Start reserves the right to cancel orders.
8.3 – Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product.
8.4 – Customers must verify product information before purchase.
8.5 – Product references are for internal use only and do not imply characteristics.
8.6 – Press Start is a reseller only and is not responsible for manufacturer defects.
8.7 – Complimentary gifts (“Oferta”) are subject to availability and are non-refundable.


9. Used Items

9.1 – All used items are inspected and tested before sale.
9.2 – Used items are clearly labeled “USED.”
9.3 – Press Start may buy used products from customers after evaluation.
9.4 – Payment may be offered in cash or store credit.
9.5 – All negotiations for used products are conducted via email: used@pressstart.pt.


10. Digital Content (DLC, Updates, etc.)

10.1 – Digital content (e.g., DLCs) is the sole responsibility of the publisher.
10.2 – Software defects must be addressed with the manufacturer.
10.3 – Digital products are non-refundable and non-returnable.
10.4 – Illustrations and descriptions are provided by publishers.


11. Marketing Campaigns

11.1 – Press Start conducts marketing campaigns in compliance with advertising and data protection laws.
11.2 – Discount codes and vouchers are not cumulative unless explicitly stated.
11.3 – Participation in promotional campaigns implies acceptance of published rules.


12. Loyalty Points

12.1 – Customers earn loyalty points for purchases, except for certain categories (e.g., collector’s editions, bulk orders).
12.2 – Conversion rate: €0.0125 per point (80 points = €1).
12.3 – Points are credited once the order is shipped.
12.4 – Points can be redeemed at checkout but cannot cover shipping fees unless otherwise stated.
12.5 – Points have no expiration date unless the program is discontinued (with at least 1 month’s notice).
12.6 – Points may be removed if fraudulent activity is detected.


13. Use of Cookies

13.1 – Press Start uses cookies to improve user experience and analyze site usage.
13.2 – Cookies can be managed or disabled via browser settings.

14. Warranty and After-Sales

14.1 – New products carry a 3-year warranty (in line with EU law). Used products carry the warranty specified at purchase.
14.2 – Warranty does not apply in cases of negligence, misuse, or absence of proof of purchase.
14.3 – Warranty claims may require direct contact with manufacturers (e.g., consoles and controllers).
14.4 – Press Start does not perform repairs but may assist with technical evaluation.


15. Liability

15.1 – All products are compliant with Portuguese legislation.
15.2 – Press Start is not responsible for damages caused by system errors, interruptions, or external viruses.
15.3 – Customers are responsible for compliance with import laws in their own country.


16. Customer Obligations

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal data and valid shipping addresses.

  • Not misuse the website (e.g., posting defamatory, obscene, or unlawful content).

  • Not create false identities or multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes.
    Press Start reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.


17. Privacy and Security

17.1 – Customer data is used only for commercial and marketing purposes with consent.
17.2 – Data is never sold or shared with third parties.
17.3 – Payment data is encrypted and secured.


18. Applicable Law

18.1 – All purchases are governed by Portuguese law.
18.2 – Any legal disputes will be resolved in Portuguese courts, even if the customer resides abroad.

19. Omitted Cases

Any situation not covered in this document will be resolved according to applicable legal procedures and frameworks in effect at the time.
